Glatter Pill is like opening the door to a new back room. The minimalist form is a significant challenge after the previous albums. Tar-like basslines are meant to sustain a trance-like feeling. A slight breathlessness, a sense of being just beneath the surface—without any certainty of coming back up. The low frequencies only occasionally make space for the rest of the spectrum. All of this collides with a house afterglow—the feeling of heading home at seven in the morning, watching the sunrise.
